Project Uerê Grant

In December 2010, our proposal for a matching grant for our International Project Uerê Training Center was approved by Rotary International.  This grant will provide a total of $38,000 to furnish a center to support the training of hundreds of teacher through out Brazil in the methodology of teaching slum children.  Partners in this grant included the Rotary Club of Linden, Front Royal, Frederick County, Winchester's Latest and Luray from District 7570, and the Rotary Club of Thomasville, NC; Rotary Club of Rio de Janeiro and District 4570.
